Thoughts from guest writer Julie Morris, an interesting article about showcasing your Business.

In today's digital landscape, engaging job-seekers and customers demands more than catchy slogans or sleek websites. A well-crafted video is essential for connecting with your audience on a meaningful level. It allows you to convey your company's essence and values in a memorable way that truly resonates. In selecting platforms for your video, it's crucial to prioritise Facebook and YouTube for audience engagement potential. Facebook's vast user base offers unparalleled visibility, while YouTube's status as the second-largest search engine can significantly boost your video's discoverability. Additionally, adding your video to your Google Business listing can enhance local search visibility, offering a comprehensive approach to reach a broader audience effectively.

Understanding Your Viewers

The foundation of an impactful video begins with a keen understanding of who you're speaking to. Your content, tone, and style need to align with the interests and preferences of your target demographic. This alignment is crucial, whether your audience is composed of potential employees seeking a vibrant workplace culture or customers on the lookout for products that align with their values. By tailoring your message, you ensure that your video not only reaches its intended audience but also strikes a chord, fostering a connection that goes beyond the superficial.

Crafting a Narrative

The power of storytelling cannot be overstated. A narrative that weaves together your company's culture, values, and unique offerings can transform a simple video into an evocative experience. Share stories that highlight your team's camaraderie, such as company outings or holiday celebrations. These moments humanize your brand, making it more relatable and desirable to both prospective hires and customers. It's not just about showcasing what you do but how you do it differently and why that matters.

Shareability

To extend your video's reach, optimise it for sharing.Including social media buttons and encouraging viewers to share the video with their networks can significantly increase its visibility. This organic spread is invaluable, as it not only amplifies your message but also leverages the networks of your viewers, potentially reaching a far wider audience than through traditional advertising alone.

Inclusive Accessibility

Ensuring accessibility in your videos is essential to reach a broad audience and provide an inclusive viewing experience. One effective way to achieve this is by incorporating closed captioning, which allows individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing to understand the audio content. Closed captioning also benefits non-native speakers, people in noisy environments, and those who prefer reading along. By prioritising accessibility, you demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity and enhance the overall impact and reach of your video content.

Engaging Visual and Audio

The appeal of your video is significantly enhanced by the quality of its visual and audio elements. High-definition visuals paired with compelling audio create an immersive experience that can hold the viewer's attention from start to finish. This combination is critical in conveying your message effectively and leaving a lasting impression on your audience.

Adding Strong Call to Action

A strong call to action is the linchpin of your video, guiding viewers on what to do next. Whether it's applying for a position, visiting your website, or following you on social media, a clear and compelling call to action is crucial. It transforms passive viewers into active participants, taking them from mere interest to tangible engagement with your brand.

In crafting your video, remember that integrating your company logo not only strengthens brand identity but also fosters a sense of familiarity and trust with your audience. By understanding your viewers, telling a compelling story, and carefully considering what to include, you can create a video that stands out in the crowded digital landscape. With strategic sharing, brand integration, and an engaging mix of visual and audio elements, your video can become a powerful tool in attracting the right job-seekers and customers to your company.

Web3 and NFTs: Revolutionizing Crowdfunding for Feature Films

In recent years, the emergence of web3 technology and the rise of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have transformed various industries. One such industry that stands to benefit greatly from these advancements is the world of feature film production. In this blog post, we will explore how web3 and NFTs can revolutionise the way films are funded through crowdfunding.

1. Decentralised Crowdfunding:

Traditional crowdfunding platforms have played a significant role in financing independent films. However, they often come with limitations such as high fees and a lack of transparency. Web3 technology, which is built on blockchain, offers a decentralised alternative. By leveraging smart contracts, filmmakers can create their own crowdfunding campaigns, enabling direct interaction between creators and supporters. This decentralised approach eliminates intermediaries, reduces costs, and enhances transparency.

2. Tokenised Ownership:

NFTs, which are unique digital assets, have gained tremendous popularity in the art world. In the context of film crowdfunding, NFTs can be used to offer tokenised ownership in a film project. Filmmakers can tokenise shares of the film's potential revenue or offer exclusive perks to NFT holders, such as access to behind-the-scenes content, premiere tickets, or merchandise. This tokenised ownership model not only provides backers with a tangible stake in the project but also creates a new revenue stream for filmmakers.

3. Royalties and Resale Value:

One of the most exciting aspects of NFTs is their ability to embed royalties into the token itself. This means that whenever the film generates revenue, a portion can automatically be distributed to NFT holders. This innovative feature empowers investors by allowing them to participate in the film's success beyond its initial release. Furthermore, NFTs can be resold on secondary markets, enabling backers to potentially profit from the appreciation of the token's value if the film becomes successful.

4. Engaging the Community:

Web3 and NFTs provide an opportunity for filmmakers to actively engage their community of supporters. Through tokenised governance, NFT holders can have a say in certain creative decisions, casting choices, or marketing strategies. This level of involvement not only strengthens the bond between creators and backers but also increases the sense of ownership and loyalty within the community.

Conclusion:

The advent of web3 technology and the rise of NFTs have brought unprecedented possibilities for crowdfunding feature films. By leveraging decentralised crowdfunding platforms and tokenised ownership, filmmakers can tap into a global network of supporters, reduce financial barriers, and create a more engaged community. As this technology continues to evolve, it holds the potential to revolutionize the way films are funded and bring forth a new era of independent cinema.

If you have any comments or thoughts please do get in touch. We are keen to really understand web3 and embrace change. So much to learn!

Tech Upgrades to Move Your Small Business Forward in 2021

The pandemic caused a halt in many aspects of business and everyday life last year. But innovators didn’t slow down and technology kept advancing. If your small business was forced to hold back on investing in new tech during the pandemic, now is the time to ramp it back up and get the tools your team needs. From collaboration apps to cybersecurity systems, Plenitude Productions has listed some of the best tech upgrades for small businesses in 2021:

Collaboration Tools

Text messaging works fine for simple communication between a few employees. But when you’re working on team projects, it’s not the most efficient or secure form of communicating. Now is the time to invest in a collaboration app like Slack or Flock. These apps keep all of your chats and projects in one place while also fostering company culture.

The Cloud

As with using collaboration apps, you want to ensure that sharing documents, files, and other content among team members is as secure and efficient as possible. Be done with the extra steps and obstacles to data sharing, and move all of your data sharing to the cloud. Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive are a couple of the most popular sharing platforms for small businesses, and they will make completing projects and storing information much easier for everyone on the team.

Payroll Software

Payroll gets a lot of small businesses in trouble. Not only can neglecting to do payroll accurately and on time yield legal repercussions, but it can also lead to HR and reputation issues. Make sure you are using up-to-date and intuitive payroll tools to supplement your payroll services. When determining which platform to purchase, look for features like automatic payroll scheduling, same-day direct deposit, and automatic tax filing. These will lessen your filing worries, as well as keep your team happy and motivated.

Digital Content

Digital marketing is a key to success for any type of small business these days. If you’re not already doing it, be sure to maintain a blog on your website. Your business blog should provide your audience with useful information pertaining to your industry, and it should be professionally written in your brand’s unique voice. This might include anything from informative pieces to product stories to how-to guides.

Along with keeping a blog, consider creating video content that can inform and entertain your audience. Visual content is the most powerful way to reach your customers and potential customers, and Plenitude Productions can help you develop high-quality videos that move your business’s marketing and overall success forward!

Cybersecurity

Cybercriminals are targeting small businesses like never before. If your company suffers a breach that involves sensitive employee or customer data, then it could be difficult to recover. Don’t neglect to protect your systems, especially if you’re working with remote teams. Look into the various cybersecurity solutions on the market (e.g., Symantec, Cisco, ScienceSoft, etc.), and don’t hesitate to implement the best system you can afford.

Internet Speed

In this day and age, your company simply cannot afford a lagging or fickle internet connection. If you rely on the internet for payment processing, team collaboration, financial management, or any other aspects of your operations, then make sure you’re using a provider (e.g., Virgin, Sky Connect, Plusnet, etc.) that offers exceptional speed. Moving online can do wonders for your business and keep you from getting left behind by the competition, but only if you have the internet connection to support your day-to-day operations.

This is the year to start investing in tech again for your small business. Research the market to determine which collaboration apps, cloud platforms, payroll software, digital content services, cybersecurity systems, and internet providers will fit into your budget and serve your business the most. Then, your team will be equipped to produce your best year to date!
